MY POLICIES

Thank you for visiting I Make Jelly.

What first started as a evening hobby has quickly turned in a bustling little studio, so I felt the need to detail some of my policies. Hopefully everything is clear, but if not, please feel free to drop me a line.

DESIGN:

I am a qualified graphic designer of 15 years, with a passion to create beautiful things! I love sharing this passion with you. I believe if you love what you do it shows, and hopefully you see that in my I Make Jelly work. If you have a request, let me know. I will do my best to accommodate it, or provide an alternative. The only limitation is our imagination. (Well, actually that's not true. Usually budget and timing play a pretty big part too!)  I have worked with a whole range of printers and other industry contacts, so rest assured when you place an order with I Make Jelly, I will ensure what you get is something I am proud to put my name to.

TURNAROUND:

My designs are all custom ordered, and therefore may take up to 1-2 weeks from design to dispatch. I work as quickly as I can but I do need the time to create the custom designs and do the rounds of revisions that are requested. It almost always takes less than that (sometimes getting a proof back to you in 24 hours), but please bear in mind during busy periods and juggling the work/life balance I may require an extra few days.

If you need urgent turnaround, I can almost always accommodate you. Please message me and I will get your order to you as soon as possible.

Urgent turnaround on Tram Banners may incur an additional $30 freight charge. I will discuss this with you as required.

PROOFING & APPROVALS:

With my custom work, I will supply you with a proof prior to print. This is your chance to check all information contained within the design for accuracy.  Once you see your proof, you can request changes until it is just right.

All information needs to be checked, and once approved the responsibility lies with the customer. Unfortunately I do not know your parents wedding date, nor the correct spelling of a middle name, and whilst utmost care is taken to ensure all information is accurately replicated, mistakes happen. That is what the proofing process is for.

If you approved the proofs that were emailed to you and your custom order was shipped to you and you realise you missed something or you gave me the wrong information or spelling, I cannot replace the print without some compensation to reproduce it.

If the error was mine, I will work with you to resolve the issue, however I must stress that my terms of trade are that approvals are the customers responsibility.

PRINTING:

Prints: Prices quoted are for print only; on approx 250gsm card, printed by a commercial digital printers, up to A3 size (*). Custom printing sizes are always possible. Just let me know what size you would like and I can arrange a quote as applicable. You are free to source your own frame and I will design to your specifications.

*The standard A3 size print is designed to fit IKEA's range of RIBBA 40cm x 50cm frames (when used inside mount).

Tram Banners: I Make Jelly contracts an experienced wholesale printer to print your Tram Banner. They use the highest grade fade resistant pigment inks and the highest quality, heavy weight, fade resistant 450gsm Fine-Art Archival Canvas on the market. They also coat every canvas print with their own unique non-cracking liquid laminate. The canvas is then stretched around a treated, beveled, kiln dried wooden frame and finished with framers tape and hanging wire. Only the best large format Epson printers are used in the printing process. All of the prints are printed at a high resolution giving you amazing clarity and superb vivid colours.

FRAMING:

Unfortunately I will not post frames as Australia Post (or couriers!!) and glass don't mix! I also will not accept any responsibility or liability regarding the frame quality or safety. Contact me to discuss your framing requirements.

*********************

COLOURS:

The difficult thing regarding the proofing process by email is that screens and printers display colour differently. Your monitor may display colour very differently than what my online colour chart really is. I do my very best to achieve the colour that you are describing. It can help if you email me jpgs of the colour you want, OR in extreme circumstances I can arrange a proof at a minimal cost (just to cover the cost of postage) to ensure the colour is what is required.  NOTE: Phone screens are quite inaccurate. Laptop screens are a better indication of colour.

DELIVERY:

Prints: I Make Jelly Prints are sent via Australia Post regular mail service (unless otherwise requested). They are packed inside a cellophane sleeve inside a rigid cylinder for safe travels.

If you would like to register the parcel, please let me know so I can modify your order cost.

Tram Banners & Wood Prints: I Make Jelly Tram Banners and Wood Prints are shipped direct from the printer. They use reputable freight companies that requires a signature on receipt of goods.  They are packed inside bubble wrap and a rigid cardboard box for safe travels.  Postage may take up to 5 days.   Urgent turnaround on Tram Banners may incur an additional $30 freight charge. I will discuss this with you as required.

Everything is packed with the utmost care to assure a safe arrival. However, if the post office mishandles your items or ignores handling notes, I am not responsible for damaged or lost items during postage.

*********************

REFUNDS:

Due to the custom nature of my work, I do not offer refunds, except under extraordinary circumstances.

If you are unhappy with your order, please contact me and I will do everything I can to make it up to you.
